El Sueño de Felicidad de Leo Quinteros
July 30, 2006 – 3:52 amHoy por fin pude ver junto a mi Claudia, a Leo Quinteros en vivo, en la sala SCD de Bellavista y nos emocionó de verdad. Lo vimos sólo con su guitarra y sus efectos. “La mejor forma de ir a un primer show de él” como me comentó mi Claudia.
Tratando de describir su poder, la Claudia, certeramente me dijo que la música de Leo Quiteros deja en claro su vulnerabilidad, haciendo ver que a pesar de su infelicidad (que interpreta como una emoción contemporánea, de todos nosotros), sueña con la Felicidad.

July 20, 2006 – 1:36 amEl año pasado junto a un grupo de amigos le dimos forma a un proyecto de recorrer la ciudad rescatando los cambios y avances que le suceden. Chileimporta se llamaba y para un concurso de micrometrajes, que no ganamos, hicimos este video como muestra de lo que estabamos pensando.
Paola junto a Pilar, las urbanistas del grupo ahora están en Lost Highway Expedition que como aventura, consiste en A massive movement of individuals will pass through Ljubljana, Zagreb, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Skopje, PriÅ¡tina, Tirana, Podgorica and Sarajevo.

Puerto Calbuco: El Secreto de las Ostras
June 26, 2006 – 2:49 amLorenzo Soto trabajó, como sólo un buen sureño lo hace, durante años para distintos lugares de venta de ostras, hasta que un día decidió dar el salto. Ahí fue cuándo lo conocí, como un amateur comedor de tal marisco, porque para profesionales está mi señora. Claudia puede comerse sin problemas 50 ostras y no parar de sonreir. Yo, soy de los que prefiero la variedad y en ese juegeo fuimos hoy, por tercera o cuarta vez en un mes y medio a Puerto Calbuco: el lugar que acabó con mi búsqueda por el menú marino celestial. Porque algo he comido por aquí y por allá pero nada supera a esta piká. Las machas a la parmesana con una pizca de queso, los locos tibios con salsa verde aliñada pero no revuelta.

En este restorán es todo inagotáblemente fresco. Porque el local que ya tiene 11 años vendiendo ostras, a 50 metros del Puerto Calbuco, recibe los pedidos al mostrador y envía los bivalvos y demasases a la mesa del comensal del comedor que ya tiene tres años.
Olga Soto, la hija maneja el restorán apoyada por Carlos Rojas, el sonriente garzón que te acompaña simpática y discretamente. Pero esta tarde se me armó el puzzle, cuando vimos pasar de un lado para otro a un cocinero, que con tenida de combate, nos sonreía.

Mi típica parada ultra-positivamente-prejuiciante, esa que siempre me muestra buena onda, no me falló. Sabía que no podía ser una alucinación disfrutar tanto de este lugar, cuando mi Claudia me dijo: Mira, él trabaja en el Astrid y Gastón, señalando el bordado que tenía en el pecho de su uniforme blanco.
Finalmente, el almuerzo se transformó en algo realmente importante como conversar Alexis López, el colaborador chef, sobre la importancia de no intervenir un marisco o pescado, porque el producto debe mostrar su máximo. Ahora, que eso lo converses con un chef joven que lleva años trabajando en los mejores restoranes de mariscos (Chiringuito de Zapallar, Infante 51 con Xavier Zabala y Astrid y Gastón) y te diga que los Sábado y Domingo viene a ayudar al Puerto Calbuco, te ratifica que se acabó, ya está, nunca más buscas un lugar para comer mariscos.
Aquí empieza y se termina. Bilbao 908. Excelente comida marina a buenos precios, abierto de Martes a Sábado de 13:00 a 24:00 horas y Domingo y Lunes hasta las 17:00. Para colmo, hoy tenían un certero Sauvignon Blanc, Donna 2003 de la viña Larqui del Valle de Itata.
Viva fresco siempre Puerto Calbuco.
